Waters Reach Holiday Cottage

Self Catering Holiday Cottage in Buxworth, High Peak

Ideal for walking and exploring Cheshire and the Peak District National Park

This attractive, stone, terraced cottage is set in a quiet corner of the pretty village of Buxworth, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Warm, welcoming and deceptively spacious, the property is perfectly placed for exploring this lovely part of the High Peak, with the Bugsworth Canal on the doorstep.

Traditionally furnished with a homely feel, this charming cottage has character beams and a cosy open fire in the sitting room, perfect for relaxing by in the cooler evenings. The dining area is tucked under the staircase, which leads up to the first floor roomy double bedroom and the family bathroom, complete with a Jacuzzi bath and powerful shower over.

The second bedroom is on the top floor and offers fine views over Eccles Pike moor. The kitchen is at the back of the property, with a stable door giving access, via stone steps, down to the sheltered shared courtyard; a sunny spot to sit with a morning coffee, before heading out for the day. The small village of Buxworth has numerous footpaths to explore, including walking and cycling on the canal towpath, and is a haven for birds and wildlife.

Just 10 miles away is the popular spa town of Buxton, with a wide range of restaurants, quaint tea rooms and independent shops. With performances to enjoy at the Buxton Opera House and colourful Pavilion Gardens, a visit there is really worthwhile. Nearby stately homes include the wonderful Chatsworth House and the National Trust’s Lyme Park, whilst the Blue John Cavern provides an interesting day out.

A comfortable cottage in an excellent location.
